Repair of gas fueling equipment for gas vehicles
a) General conditions:
(aa) the room complies with the fire protection requirements for fire hazard class “C”;
(ab) devices for the detection (gas detection) and removal (ventilation equipment) of gaseous fuels entering the air space of the room shall be installed in accordance with the following technical requirements;
(ac) the gas sensor is the gaseous fuel used in the vehicle to be repaired
– give an audible and visible signal at 20% of the lower flammability concentration and start the ventilation equipment at the same time,
– disconnect the electrical network of the room at 40% of its lower flammability concentration, except for explosion-proof electrical equipment;
(ad) Above an air volume of 500 m3, if the activity is carried out in less than 20% of the floor area, close to the entrance gate, no ventilation equipment shall be installed in the room and the electrical equipment may be disconnected from the mains by manual switching. In such a case, the metrological and technical safety authority may specify other conditions;
(ae) the ventilation equipment ensures that the room is ventilated at least five times an hour;
(af) no open-combustion combustion plant may be used in the room;
(ag) have an open gate;
(ah) have a device for emptying the vehicle’s gas tank;
ai) the room shall be provided, in addition to what is otherwise prescribed, with one additional fire extinguisher for each room with a powder of 12 kg.
(b) Additional requirements for a workshop for the repair of gas fueling equipment for LPG vehicles:
(ba) at a height of 0.15 m above the floor, at least one independent gas sensor per installation station shall be installed. Ventilation should be exhausted, flush the lower air space properly;
(bb) at a height of 0.15 m from the floor of the manhole, two independently operating gas sensors shall be installed and a manhole ventilation device operated from it shall be used;
(bc) the emergency ventilation equipment of the manhole shall have an exhaust system providing at least five air changes per hour, the exhaust openings of which shall be located at the level of the manhole floor, protected from water;
(bd) the floor level of the room must not be deeper than the ground level;
(be) within 5 m of the installation station, there shall be no entrance to a recess, cavity or other room deeper than the level of the room in which the gaseous fuel may accumulate.
(c) Additional requirements for a workshop to repair compressed natural gas fueling equipment:
(ca) at least one independent gas sensor per installation station shall be installed close to the level of the ceiling;
(cb) the ventilation is blown and the upper air space is properly flushed.
(d) Additional requirements for a workshop for the repair of other gaseous fuel supply equipment shall be determined by the metrological and technical safety authority using the requirements of points (b) and (c).
Very strict forward. So it shall be.
Keep up good work
