Ambient temperature range

Ex manufacturers apply -20°C to + 40°C as a default. When no indication on the Ex type label this default applies.

When an extended range is required because of the application; it shall be indicated and must be followed.

Today (28.06.2020) it was measured the hottest day over the years throughout Europe. In some cases over 40°C.

Does it mean danger? Potential ignition source?

In reality 40°C means 60°C. So still we are on the safe side.

Noted it has to be, and certain considerations have to be done.

Keep up good work!
